Compression low

I have read loads of posts on here about people getting compressions lows and the importance of checking BG before treating.

I had tried lowering my looping target last night thinking things stay pretty level over night so couod see if that might help lower HbA1c a bit. Set the lower target, but then woken with an alert before low which would normally sort itself out, then hypo and double dropping!! JBs in straight away THEN immediately thought about checking BG before. 6.6 and nowhere near hypo. Looked at my graph and there was the obvious steep and sudden dip. It hasn’t happened before so just didn’t stop to think, (and I was grumpy at being woken up.)

Next time I shall follow the advice I have read and given on here often. Check BG before treating.

I’d have treated first @SB2015 with that double drop. I’d have had an initial Dextro, then tested. Better safe than sorry, and I find it easier to lob a Dextro in while my brain is waking up and assessing the situation.

Probably sensible and whilst my levels climbed unnecessarily they came down again.
